The debt of Love I owe!

July 14th 2013
I woke up early and I did my preparations before my wife Maggie kissed me and send me off to Church. It’s now exactly eight weeks since I started going out to Church alone. Maggie and Jessica spent much of their time in the house. UI really miss going to Church with them. The worship was awesome but the climax of it all was a life story of one Mwende. Mwende is a pastors Kid who grew up in Church and like it happens in many places, people around her had very high expectations of her given her parent’s status. Little did Mwende understand the meaning of love that a young man took advantage of her naivety while she was sixteen. Like she narrated, this young man raped her and exposed her to unfathomable public disgrace. She had to bear the pains of the ordeal for years. Mwende suffered self condemnation, rejection, guilt and so on and so forth. Her turning point came about when the truth of Chris’s unconditional love dawned to her. She read and understood the meaning of these words, “And we know that in all things God works for good of those who have been called according to His purposes. For those God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of His son, that He might be the first born among many brothers. And those he predestined, He also called, those He called He also justified, and those he justified, He also glorified. What then shall we say in response to this? If God is for us who can be against us?” (Romans 8:28-31)

Mwende is one amongst the many in the home, Church, work places, villages and all over around us with great pain deep down their hearts. All these people need is love and assurance of hope only in Christ Jesus. This may be the greatest debt that you and I owe someone somewhere. Watch out!!!
